Ranger Barin Boro, during a media briefing, has disclosed that the Manas National Park has generated revenue of Rs. 1.58 crore from tourism in just 8 months from the 2024–25 financial year.
He further added “Park welcomed visitors totaling 64,463 between 2024 and 2025; out of that, 3,719 were foreign and 60,744 were Indian. The previous year, the park generated revenue of Rs. 1.30 crore in the whole year alone.
Manas National Park is a world heritage site, and it is home to many endangered species. It is located in Chirang and Baksa district of Assam.
Manas National Park offers the following services: jeep and elephant safaris, bird watching, and natural photography. Visitors can even visit a nearby Bodo village and can experience the Bodo culture and cuisine.
